Financial firm expands office to accommodate company growth

Acquisition leads to 3,800 square feet of office expansion incorporating an updated layout and finishes

In July 2020, Sever Construction partnered with Mohagen Hansen to complete the 3,800-square-foot office expansion for Frandsen Financial Corporation, located in Arden Hills, Minn.

The Expansion Layout and Design

Our teams converted an outdated flex space into a beautiful office area with breakout rooms, conference room, open office area, and a training room. The buildout called for modern finishes including cherry wood doors, vinyl wall covering, and modular carpet.

A company acquisition prompted the office expansion. Frandsen wished to keep the open office environment, yet, add a few breakout areas for private phone calls and discussions. The newly expanded area is now where the Frandsen’s IT maintenance, prep space, and training room stationed.

This expansion layout provided larger rooms for staff and better access to materials moving in and out of the office.

The project was completed in two phases. Phase 1 addressed the office expansion and the furniture move. Phase 2 consisted of converting a storage room into two private offices.

“The coordination with the technology, sound-masking, and low voltage trade partners moved along seamlessly. The project was on budget and showcases high quality work,” shares Frank Hinck, project manager for Sever Construction.
