HERO Plumbing, Heating and Cooling
HERO Plumbing, Heating and Cooling Moves Its Minneapolis Office to the Hampshire Technology Center in Bloomington
Innovative and progressive leadership boasts exclusive employee amenities in this beautiful 25,000-square-foot office and warehouse renovation
Start of Construction
In mid-November of 2019, our construction team was selected for the HERO Plumbing, Heating and Cooling buildout located in Bloomington, MN. Our team worked closely with RMA Real Estate Services, Newmark Knight Frank and BDH to meet the project schedule, budget, and design requirements for this incredibly innovative office and warehouse setup. The space offers a variety of unique amenities to its staff and promotes a compelling amount of wellbeing and growth.
Wait, a Cryo chamber?
When is the last time you witnessed a Cryo chamber in the front office reception? We’re guessing never. But at HERO, technicians and office staff have the option to get their cryotherapy on using the state-of-the-art Cryo chamber showcased in the reception area – complete with a private changing room and frosted glass privacy screen.
Unique Wellness Amenities
Adjacent to the reception area is the Peak Performance Lab. No room is given such name that does not live up to the expectation, and, let us be clear, this lab area does not disappoint. Employees can meet with an on-site physical and nutritional trainer as well as access to high-end fitness equipment.
What’s more are the unique offerings such as the Nordic Space Cold Tubs, beautiful sauna room with shower and changing station, Hyperbaric Chamber (oxygen therapy), lab room for blood testing and individual treatment rooms with Dexa Scan, Fit Scan and VO2 Max Equipment.
Each day, the HERO technicians provide services that can be labor intensive. HERO believes it is important to keep your employees well so that you can keep your business well.
Collaborative Environment
Throughout the office space are enclosed meeting and collaboration rooms. The recruitment room is surrounded by glass and features textural wall coverings, comfortable lounge-like furniture furnished by Fluid Interiors, a distinctive light fixture and technology.
The 13 private offices were designed with glass fronts. The open area workstations bask in natural light as they neighbor the floor-to-ceiling windows ensuring HERO’s right-to-light practice. All furniture selections were coordinated with Fluid Interiors.
Training Rooms
Large group training sessions and staff meetings are a common occurrence at HERO. It was very important for the training rooms to be nearby easily accessed food and beverage during conference room gatherings. Marika Defillo, project designer for BDH, shares, “for this reason, the two Large training rooms are located next to the multi-functional break room. Each room has a glass garage door to permit direct access to the café, featuring a kitchenette with sufficient counter space for catering, as well as collaboration booths, café seating, a hi-top meeting table with technology and a game table.”
Warehouse and Parts Inventory
Over 7,600 square feet of the building is warehouse where the service technicians’ inventory over 1,500 plumbing, heating and cooling parts and pieces. To effectively manage this volume, HERO is part of the Home Depot Vendor Managed Inventory (VMI) program. The program is managed by Home Depot staff on the HERO premise where the technicians can easily access a wide variety of parts yet alleviating order or repair hassles.
Our project team designed and constructed a brand-new drive-in ramp and four dock doors for quick and easy vehicle access. On-site parking creates convenience and safety for HERO’s office employees and service technicians.
Hampshire Technology Center in Bloomington
Emily Becker, president at RMA Real Estate Services disclosed, “HERO had been confined in their previous space. They were looking for a new layout that offered a lot of functionality. We’re pleased that this property provides their employees a comfortable environment in which they can be proud!”
In a tight labor market, HERO is working hard to provide special amenities and building offerings that appeal and attract top talent.
The Hampshire Technology Center is also home to neighboring tenants: Matrix Care, Inc., Arrow Electronics, and Braun Intertec who are all managed by RMA Real Estate Services.
