About EMC’s New Office

Our team was selected by Marc Nanne with JLL who led the site transaction of the phased Energy Management Collaborative (EMC) office project. The project is located in the Vicksburg Business Center in Plymouth, MN and has been rcognized as a “Cool Office” by the Minneapolis-St. Paul Business Journal. Our team worked alongside NTH, Inc. and BDH throughout the first phase.

The entire project transaction is approximately 59,000-square-feet. Phase I of this project addressed a significant renovation to 40,000-square-feet of space, which features leading edge technology that are conducive to retail and workplace environments.

Our team installed an energy management system which monitors, controls and optimizes the energy consumption of the space. Motion sensor light fixture data is tracked and provides insight on traffic paths and usage.

The space is environmentally friendly with 26 skylights which let in large amounts of natural light. A solar panel on the rooftop illuminates their main entrance signage; and the daylight harvesting, energy efficient HVAC unit and sensor activated faucets keep the place running in tip-top shape.

Phase II will be an expansion into an adjacent 17,000-square-feet on the end of the building. This portion of the project will commence within the first few years of the lease.

“Sever Construction was timely. They showed a great team effort. Their project follow-up and close-out was amazing.”
