Jacob “Jake” Allen, Senior Project Manager

Jake Allen joins the SCC team as a Senior Project Manager, bringing nearly 25 years of experience in the construction industry. His career began in the field as a plumber, where he worked his way up to become a Master Plumber while contributing to a family-run company founded in 1934. Later, Jake earned his bachelor’s degree in Construction Management from Dunwoody College of Technology in Minneapolis.

This combination of hands-on field expertise and formal education gives Jake a unique perspective, he not only understands the complexities of managing projects from the office but also the realities of executing them in the field.

Over the years, Jake has worked on a wide range of projects. As a plumber, he handled everything from service work and small residential projects to ground-up multi-family developments and dental clinics. As a Project Manager, his portfolio includes ambulatory surgery centers, large-scale distribution center renovations, medical clinics, clean rooms, warehouses, senior living facilities, restaurants, and more.

One of his most notable projects was a 110,000 sq. ft. assisted living and senior housing development in Hastings, MN. This innovative build combined modular construction with traditional methods, featuring a poured wall garage podium with precast T’s, topped by two stories of modular units, and connected to site-built amenities such as a bar, commercial kitchen, conference spaces, and offices.
